Abijah’s son found shot dead

Police were at press time investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 18-year-old Ravi Abbey of Upper Montrose. Ravi was found dead in his bedroom at around 8 p.m. Wednesday night with a gun shot wound to his head.

Police recovered a .38 revolver from the scene. Ravi, a student of the Bishop’s College, Kingstown was the son of former calypso monarch, the well-known Elvis “Abijah” Abbey.
