The season that symbolizes renewal, hope and faith
The Social Workers Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Christmas Message
The Social Workers Association of St. Vincentian Grenadines is grateful for the opportunity to release our first Christmas message. This season for us symbolizes renewal, hope and faith as we begin to set a foundation for the development of the profession and the people we serve in our blessed country. Our association acknowledges that in this season of love and fellowship there are many who are unable to receive this special gift due to disease, displacement and other issues. We are therefore encouraging all our members and communities to search deeper; extend further care, compassion and support in a tangible way to assist the need of someone you know.
The meaning of Christmas has been deluged in commercialization where advent is no longer the central theme. The thought that a being was born, lived and died to leave lessons for us to be guided by is unbelievable. If you’re cleaning, clean hearts from stigma and discrimination, if purchasing gifts, give the gift of understanding and when celebrating, celebrate the newness of everyday.
We wish St. Vincent and the Grenadines a meaningful Christmas and a blessed New Year filled with purpose.
