Hey Rosie,

My wife and I are going through a separation.  It’s difficult and we are trying to work out the issues with our kids, the house and if we want to work on our issues.

However, all of a sudden I’m being hit on by many different women.  It’s like I have a sign that says “I’m open for business”. The worse part is that many of the women who are approaching me are my wife’s so-called friends! I can’t believe this is happening. I want to tell her that these women aren’t any good, but she and I are always fighting, so she wouldn’t believe me.

What should I do? Should I tell her so she will know, or should I just let her friends know I am not interested?

Hello Shady,

Talk about a betrayal. This is messy and very disturbing. My question for you is: are you sending mixed signals to these women, that you are “available”? This is very odd indeed.

At this stage you should be focusing on your marriage. If you are going to work on fixing it or if you are going to call it quits. You have children, assets and obviously relationship issues with your wife. To complicate matters right now by telling her about her trifling friends may not be the right move at the moment.

Granted, I think it’s deplorable that these women are showing absolutely no loyalty to your wife, but she will find out in her own time . So my advice is to stay away from these women and focus on your own future, they are an insignificant distraction at this point. I wish you all the best in gaining clarity going forward.
