Active COVID-19 cases in SVG jump to 18
The number of active COVID-19 cases in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has jumped from four to 18 over the last three days.
The SVG COVID-19 Update for Tuesday, April 19, 2022 states that there are now 18 active cases of the viral illness in the country. This is a significant increase from the report of Saturday, April 16, which reported four active cases.
Today’s report said 14 of the new cases were detected by PCR testing, while 9 were identified through Rapid Antigen testing.
Today’s positivity rate is 48.28 per cent, while the average positivity rate to date is 6.85 per cent.
One person is hospitalized as a result of COVID-19. That person is unvaccinated.
There have been 8,378 recorded COVID-19 cases in SVG and 106 deaths.
