Grand opening of Sundown Cinema this Saturday at Grammar School Playing Field
Love movies? Love laughter and good vibes? Sundown Cinema, a Vincy/UK production presents the ultimate outdoor movie event – the best movies projected onto a 25-foot screen in full HD/4K video and with the sharpest audio: The press and public are invited to the grand opening of Sundown Cinema on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
The first event will take place at the Grammar School Playing Field this Saturday from 5:30 pm onwards. Guests will be treated to classic movies, fresh popcorn, real ice-cream, food and drinks all served under the stars.
The owner, Temora Providence-York, a Vincentian-national said “I’m excited to bring this experience to St Vincent, I spent many summers in the UK attending these outdoor cinema events and wanted to bring this international experience to our shores. There is sometimes just so little to do as friends and family together; we also currently have no local cinema, so this will be a clean, fun evening out with good food – which, as a bonus, doesn’t leave a hole in your pocket”
The event will run on consecutive nights of Saturday the 28th and Sunday 29th May; attendees should bring a blanket, pillows or comfy chair to sit on; doors will open from 5:30 pm, with food available from the start and the movie will start at 6:30 pm sharp. There won’t be any allocated spaces, so guests should come early to secure their preferred spot. Tickets will be available on the door or in advance from the Irie Travel Services in Kingstown or by contacting us via social media or via WhatsApp 593 6316. More information on the company and the event can be found at Instagram & Facebook @sundowncinema.svg
The owners, Temora Providence-York and Daniel York spent many years as professionals working in international companies but always wanted to be back on home soil doing something they love and being part of the community; and so they welcome you to join them at this exciting new event.
