A tropical wave will continue to affect St. Vincent & the Grenadines tonight. The wave and its associated instability are forecast to dominate the weather pattern across SVG within the next 24 hours, therefore cloudy skies could be accompanied by pockets of light to moderate showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms exists.

Residents and motorists near rivers and streams located in the red and orange zones near the La Soufriere Volcano should remain alert.  Lingering instability may allow for some showers on Saturday, whereas breezy conditions should dominate on Sunday.

Gentle to moderate(10-25km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades will move across the islands within the next 24 hours with possible gusts near showers. Wind speeds should increase on Saturday and become strong(near 40km/h) on Sunday.

Seas will be slight to moderate in open waters with swells peaking at 1.0m on the west coast and 2.0m on the eastern coasts. Some deterioration is expected at the end of the week. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds. In addition, Saharan dust haze concentrations should thicken from late evening Friday.
