Man fined $1000 after being charged with drug possession with intent to supply
A 34 year old labourer of Greiggs was fined $1000 when he appeared in the Serious Offences Court (SOC), on May 27 on a drug charge.
According to a police report, Neville Edwards was arrested on May 26 and charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.
Edwards was alleged to have in his possession on that day in Kingstown, 259 grammes of cannabis with the intent to supply it to another.
He pleaded guilty when he appeared in the Serious Offences Court last Friday and was fined $1000.00 with $200.00 to be paid forthwith in default of which he would serve two weeks imprisonment. The balance of $800.00 is to be paid by July 1, 2022.
