Soca Warriors defeat Vincy Heat 4-1
The National Senior Men’s Football team, Vincy Heat, salvaged a bit of pride yesterday even though they went down to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors.
Last night’s away game against Trinidad and Tobago played at the Hasely Crawford Stadium was the final match in the first round of the Concacaf Nations League Qualifiers.
Vincy Heat were defeated by the Soca Warriors 2-nil last Friday, June 11 at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.
Vincy Heat went into last night’s game with a single point from their three games.
The team will play their next games in the group in March, 2023 when they will be away against Nicaragua and do battle with the Bahamas here at home.
As of last weekend Nicaragua stood ahead in the group with seven points,Trinidad and Tobago had six and the Bahamas were on three points.
The squad to Trinidad comprised 20 players and eight officials.
