Sandy Bay Anglican School students injured in accident
Two students of the Sandy Bay Anglican School who were injured in an accident last Wednesday, June 8, are now recuperating at home.
A well placed source told SEARCHLIGHT that the accident took place just outside the school gate as the children were making their way to school.
The injured six and seven year of girls are cousins who live in the same house in Sandy Bay.
Reports indicate that they were struck by a vehicle moments after they alighted from a passenger van and were crossing the road to get to their school.
It is alleged that when the children were close to the school gate, they were struck by a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
The seven year old is reported to have suffered a broken left arm and left leg, while her younger cousin suffered injuries to her face.
The police have confirmed that the matter is being investigated.
