Teams win with comfort in Greiggs T/10 Sunday

There were comfortable wins for Owia, OTR Blazers, Country Meet Town Out Ah Trouble Family and Israel Bruce Smashers Inc. last Sunday, June 19, at the Greiggs Central Playing Field, as the Caesar Real Estate/Hairoun Beer/Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T/10 Softball Cricket Competition, convened another four matches.

First out of the blocks was Owia, who beat Caesar’s Real Estate Nar Fren Dem by nine wickets.

Nar Fren Dem could only muster 30/6 from their 10 overs. Omar Lavia took 2/2. Owia replied with 33/1. Rohan Lavia, 17 not out.

OTR Blazers then stopped Dr Thomas Injectors by 55 runs.

OTR Blazers posted 140/ 4 from their 10 overs. Shamic Roberts, 58 and Denson Hoyte, 51. Tex Franklyn was Injectors’ most successful bowler, taking 2/27.

Injectors in response made 85/2 from their 10 overs, with Tyson Richards hitting a top score of 31 not out.

An easier passage was to come when Out Ah Trouble Family recorded a five wicket win over RSVG Police.

Britnel Scott, 24 and Okeiph Andrews struck 22 not out, as Police scored an under par 79/2 from their allotted 10 overs. Bowling for Out Ah Trouble Family, Deroy Strough had 2/8.

In reply, Out Ah Trouble Family made 80/5 from 7.1 overs. Renrick Williams, 51. Malcovin Jack picked up 3/17 in a losing cause for Police.

And, Smashers outplayed Kombat Warriors by 31 runs. Smashers, led by Keno Matthews 51, and Renrick Peters, 33 reached 105/1 from their 10 overs.

Kombat Warriors replied with 74/8. Marlon Farrell, 23. Bowling for Smashers, Glendon James scalped 2/11.
