Camp Introspect in full flight from Monday
CAMP INTROSPECT will return to its extended play, when the 2022 edition convenes on Monday July 18 at the Girls’ High School hard court until Friday July 22, from 9 am to noon.
Last year, owing to the threats of the coronavirus, the camp took place on one day.
Attendees at Camp Introspect will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis. However, organisers have put 50 participants as the cap.
As it stands, Camp Introspect is a three-hour Christo- centric basketball skills camp, for both genders. Participants at the camp will be instructed in the fundamentals of the sport, as well as compete in smallsided games and individual skill competitions.
Providing supervision and expertise at the camp will be members of the Blue Chip Basketball Academy (SVG), along with Hope & Hope Inc. team members.
Following the camp on the mainland, the second annual Shad Thomas Basketball Camp is set for Union Island on July 27 at the Ashton Hard Court.
Thomas, a native on the island, migrated in 2019 on a Basketball scholarship to attend the Salem Baptist Christian School in North Carolina, USA.Then last
year, he earned a scholarship to the Catawba Valley Community College, also in North Carolina.
In his first season at his college institution, Thomas finished as the top rebounder and was among the top five players in Region 10.
