‘Baggy’ grabbed at E.T Joshua airport

A young man of New Montrose was granted $5,000 bail at the Serious Offences Court on Monday after he was charged with stealing over $9,000 from the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines between May 25 and May 31, 2007.{{more}}

Nathaniel ‘Baggy’ Pitt, 25, a former employee at the Treasury Department, was charged with four counts of theft.

According to Police, Pitt was caught over the weekend at the E.T Joshua Airport attempting to board a flight to Barbados.

Pitt had tendered his resignation from Government a month ago.

The accused was ordered by Chief Magistrate Simone Churaman to surrender his travel documents and report to the Central Police Station on Mondays between 4 and 6 pm.

Pitt’s trial gets underway July 19. (KW)
