Lett told SEARCHLIGHT that he was about 40 yards from his house when he heard a gun being cranked. When he looked back, he saw a person in the road behind him, then he heard a gun shot. Lett said that he didnât know he was shot because he didnât feel any pain at the time, but after a while he felt burning sensations in his back and feet.
The 26-year-old former sailor said, âI donât make trouble and Iâve never been afoul of the law. I donât know why anyone would want to shoot me.â
Lett was working on the Low Income housing project at Fitz Hughes at the time, but was laid off on Tuesday because of his injuries. He said that the shots in his back were squeezed out, but the one that remains in his left foot is very painful. No one has been arrested for the attack, but police are carrying out investigations into the matter. (AC)
