The gun was not loaded, though.
Information reaching SEARCHLIGHT is that a teacher spotted the young man with the gun at around 10 a.m. on Monday morning, and Ministry of Education officials and the police were called in.
The child reportedly told teachers that he saw the gun at home and took it to play the game.
Police subsequently conducted a search of the Old Montrose home of the boyâs mother, Althea Roberts, and found an additional quantity of ammunition.
The boyâs father is a sailor.
Information reaching Searchlight is that the gun is an older model firearm, and not the typical, small .22 pistol.
At press time, Roberts was assisting police with their investigations, but no charges had been laid. (KJ)
