Vincy boatmen in Bajan custody

FIVE MEN – two Vincentians and three Barbadians – are in police custody in Barbados following a drug operation at sea in the wee hours of Monday morning.{{more}}

The giant operation involved the police’s Drug Squad, the Coast Guard and police marine personnel.

One of the men, a Barbadian, was shot in the leg.

Police declined to give their names, but said a fishing vessel was intercepted 32 miles off Sandy Lane, and after it was searched, 15 bags containing 872 pounds of cannabis were found and seized. (Barbados Nation)
