Nigel John, a 33-year-old mason/carpenter from the North central Windward Town of Georgetown is shocked over the sudden course of events with him last Monday evening. {{more}}

And it seemed like there was no way out for him. He recalled a near mishap shortly before.

“Me see two vehicle nearly get in accident. Me stop,” John groaned from a bed at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital in Kingstown.

He went on: “By the time me turn me eye, like it barely glimpse the light, me only feel different.”

Cyclist Nigel John was left writhing in pain at the side of the road following that crash. It left him motionless, with his neck out of order.

He recalled being on the scene of the impact for some considerable time, while other injured persons were taken away for medical attention.

Police investigations were going on according to Police into circumstances of a motor vehicle accident at Browntown public road at 7:30 that day.

Thirteen persons including John were injured as a result of the accident.

The release from the Public Relations and Complaints Department stated that Motor vehicle TE 733 a truck driven by Winnie John of Glen and motor vehicle PM 273, a jeep driven by Dennis Gurley of Richmond Hill collided. Both vehicles were travelling to Kingstown.
