HIS EXCELLENCY SIR FREDERICK N. BALLANTYNE, G.C.M.G., MD, DSc
GOVERNOR-GENERAL OF ST VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES
Christmas is a time of celebration as we, a Christian people, celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Let us then celebrate this occasion in a sober and peaceful manner, reflecting our image of Jesus Christ.{{more}}
Christmas is a time for sharing. Let us therefore demonstrate this quality, remembering how God, with very little, fed a multitude demonstrating to us that however difficult our circumstances may be there is always enough to share.
Christ expects us not only to share gifts, but to share goodwill to all mankind.
Christmas is also a time for us to reassert our Christian principles of love, forgiveness and reconciliation.
It then behooves us on this special occasion to demonstrate these principles which will certainly motivate all of our citizens to join together to work in harmony for the benefit of all Vincentians.
My family and I wish all Vincentians a Christmas Season filled with joy and happiness and may God pour down on us blessings for the New Year.
