Detox Waters
Well, the Christmas season is over and if youâre like me, youâve put on a few pounds from all that good eating. Here are some easy and delicious detox water recipes to help you cleanse the body and lose some weight.{{more}}
Slim Down Detox Water
You will need:
1/2 gallon spring water
1/2 grapefruit, sliced
1/2 cucumber, sliced
2-3 mint leaves
1/2 lemon, sliced
1/2 lime, sliced
Method.
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher. Allow the ingredients to chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving. Drink throughout the day or discard after 24 hours.
Lemon Ginger Detox Water
You will need:
1 12-ounce glass water, at room temperature
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2-inch knob of ginger root
Method.
Add the lemon juice to the glass of water. Finely grate the ginger and add to the glass of water. This drink is a perfect way to start your day, or it can be incorporated into a three-day cleanse and detox.
Apple Cinnamon Infused Water
You will need:
1 apple thinly sliced
1 cinnamon stick
(donât use powdered cinnamon; it clogs the water)
Method.
Drop apple slices in the bottom of the pitcher (save a few to drop in your glass later) and then the cinnamon stick. Cover with ice about 1/2 way through, then with water. Place in the fridge for one hour before serving. You can refill the container 2-3 times before it begins to lose flavour.
