Men charged with having tools of theft in their possession

A man who on Wednesday asked for a phone call to call his “mommy,” will have to explain to the court why he had certain implements in his possession.

It is alleged that on September 4, Grenville Harry was found in Kingstown with a chisel, a pair of scissors and surgical gloves, implements to be used in the commission of theft.

He pleaded not guilty and was expected back in court yesterday.

He was placed on EC$3,000 bail, given a 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew and must report to the police on Mondays and Thursdays.

His charge is similar to that of Ulrick Hanson who was charged that on Monday, September 4 in Kingstown, he had in his possession a black face mask, a pair of pliers and a screwdriver, implements to be used in the commission of theft. Both men were found in the same area in Middle Street.

Hanson returns to court next Tuesday, September 12.
