Warehouse keeper charged with burglary and rape

Police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old warehouse keeper of Lowmans Windward with the offence of Aggravated Burglary and Rape on July 1, 2019.

According to a police report, the accused, who worked on Canouan, allegedly entered the dwelling house of a resident of Canouan armed with a knife, after which he proceeded to rape the female resident.

The accused is expected to appear before the Family Court to answer the charges.
