Search and rescue spends a full day out

Tuesday November 21, 2006 – 4:00 pm Update

The search for the missing SVG Air,  Aero Commander 500S, was expanded today with searches being conducted in the mountains of Bequia.

At this hour the Director of Airports and other officials are holding a news conference at the E.T. Joshua Airport to provide an update on progress so far.

Last evening the Coastguard confirmed that wreckage, believed to be that of the aircraft was located.

The plane was captained by Dominic Gonsalves and the lone passenger was Manager of American Eagle in Canuoan, Trinidadian Rasheed Imbrahim.

As soon as information becomes available from the news conference it will be posted here.
