Two youths held for Lowmans murders

Three weeks ago, the village of Lowmans Leeward was thrown into a state of shock when three young men were gunned down.

On Tuesday, September 4, two youths were arrested in connection with the crime.{{more}}

Jason Henry, 22, and Rodney Roberts, a 17-year-old student, both of Lowmans Hill, were arrested and jointly charged with the murders of Javon “John Wayne” Antoine, 20, of Layou, Ralson Omaro Bowens, 21, and Reuben Small, 22, of Lowmans.

When both men appeared at the Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, they were not allowed to plead, as the matter is indictable.

On Thursday, August 9, at around 3:00 p.m., two men allegedly entered a house in Lowmans and began spraying bullets, killing the three men.

The matter was transferred to the Serious Offenses Court. A date for the Preliminary Inquiry will be set on September 12.(SB)
