Just live your life
Hello Rosie,
I love to read the advice you give as it inspires me a lot. I just want to say that the answers you give young people are amazing. Well, I need a bit of advice. I go to a high school. I was in a bit of a relationship for some time and now I think I found my true love who I want to share my life with, but Iâm not sure that he is fully with me.{{more}}
He is always good to me. Every time we are together, it feels real good. He said that he loves me and that he knows that we will be together forever. I wouldnât lie, but our relationship is perfect now, no arguments or anything, but I wonder what happens when Iâm not around him. I really love him a lot and so does he. Sometimes I wonder what is this relationship all about!! Please help me.

Dear Rosie,
Thank you very much for those kind words. I always try to put myself in the shoes of the person who is writing to me. I am happy to hear that you are still in school and pursuing your education. That is always number one. But I am also happy that you found a guy who you seem to respect and care for very deeply. Also, from what you are telling me, it is a two way street. Very cool.
Having said that, you know that in any relationship, no matter how perfect it would seem, there will always be challenges. Yours is new and seemingly going well, and that is a great start. If there arenât any apparent issues of physical or verbal abuse, drugs, cheating etc., then simply enjoy getting to know each another at a slow pace. Do not place labels on this relationship like: âshare my life withâ. It is still too new and you are both discovering things about each other and even yourselves.
Enjoy hanging out together and in groups. Share your secrets, hopes and aspirations. You may encourage each other to strive for greater things. Hold back from sex. Yes, I said it. This only complicates issues further. Text, talk, giggle and live. As usual, you are on the verge of so many new experiences. Always be open to any positive opportunities that may come your way.
Finally, do not look for issues if there arenât any. At this stage he is only your boyfriend. Not your husband. If he is a decent guy, then I am so happy for you. The moment things begin to make you feel uncomfortable or scared, then simply walk away. Enjoy your life and continue to do well in school. All the best.
