I really need a special person in my life

Social Share

Hey Rosie,

I am a 32-year-old professional and I have a great network of friends and belong to a great church family too.  But I am so lonely.  I would like to have a special person in my life. I would love to be married and have children, and I want it all, Rosie.  Many nights I get so depressed that I would just eat and I know that is not healthy either.  How can I deal with all of these emotions and still have a balanced life?  I should be grateful, but I am anxious.

Struggling

 Hello My Friend,

I want to let you know that you are not alone.  There are many people that are going through this type of struggle and what makes you great is that you can verbalize your struggles.

Look, remember your friends’ timeline is not yours.  You are your own person, living your truth.  When you feel that you aren’t hitting those “goals” or “bench marks” in your life, know that your life has a different purpose and path, don’t compare yourself – never do that.

Find someone to speak to, you have to give yourself the opportunity to release your burdens. Start walking, I find that helps to clear your mind too.  Journal your thoughts down, you would be surprised how seeing your thoughts on paper can help you get closure as well.  All of these tips can help you centre yourself and let you focus on the positives that you have already.

It will become a stronger foundation for you to stand on, once you are real about your internal battles.

It will get better, just allow yourself to be open to your pain, the rest will fall into place.
