Shooting from the hip
Editor: Of course homosexuals choose a gay lifestyle.
For the same reason heterosexuals choose to have relations with members of the opposite sex. Thatâs their inclination. And Homo sapiens generally choose what they feel inclined to do. Just ask those married folks who feel âinclinedâ to have sex with someone other than their spouse. But you canât really blame them. {{more}}
Based on neurological, chemical, societal and other studies, the make-up of Homo sapiens leans toward polygamy, rather than monogamy.
Thatâs the way we were made. I believe that to be true of homosexuals too.
On the flip side of the coin, however, and on a more despicable level, we have all those Catholic priests â priests for crying out loud â and other clergy, and parents and plenty others, who choose to practise paedophilia (since weâre referring to sexual inclinations as a lifestyle). Why would these people choose to permanently damage young childrenâs lives â innocents whose decision- and choice-making capabilities are limited or non-existent, but which will be warped later in life?
Whether our sexual actions stem from varying levels of chemicals/hormones in our bodies, or whether they come from what is impressed and/or imposed upon us in early childhood, or any number of combinations or other reasons, I donât know. But I do know that all adults make daily decisions.
One measure of whether a decision is ârightâ or âwrongâ is whether that choice comes from love or out of fear and a lack of love.
