89 officers promoted in the police force and coast guard service

Eighty-nine members of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) have been promoted to various ranks, including the post of Assistant Commissioner of Police.

The promotions, which were approved by the Police Service Commission and announced by the RSVGPF on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, took effect on January 1, 2022.

Leading the list is Superintendent of Police Enville Williams, who has been promoted to the post of Assistant Commissioner of Police.

Assistant Superintendents of Police, David Trumpet and Hanif Simon have been promoted to be Superintendents of Police, while Inspectors Dwayne Bailey and Parnel Browne are now Assistant Superintendents of Police.

Station Sergeants Clifton Jacobs and Olsen Rodney are now Inspectors of Police while Chief Petty Officer Donald Harry is now a Sub Lieutenant in the St Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard Service.

Six Sergeants have been promoted to be Station Sergeants. They are Curtis Thomas, Renrick Cato, Junior Baptiste, Ashlyn Bristol, Colbert Samuel and Grafton Edwards.

Petty Officer Edwin Durrant has been promoted to Chief Petty Officer in the St Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard Service.

The Commissioner of Police Colin John has also approved the following promotions in the Constabulary, SVG Coast Guard, and Fire Services effective January 1, 2022:

13 Sergeants of Police
1 Petty Officer
7 Acting Sergeants of Police
29 Corporals of Police
3 Leading Seaman
20 Acting Corporals of Police

Commissioner John congratulated the officers on their promotion to the varying ranks. He encouraged them to continue working hard and thanked them for their service and dedication. He emphasized the need for all police officers, including those newly promoted to discharge their duties and responsibilities vigorously. He also urged the newly promoted officers not to rest on their laurels and wished them all the best in the execution of their duties in the interest of national security and the safety of the citizens of SVG and visitors alike.
