National Council of Women mourns the loss of its former president
In the wake of the death of Anesta Rodney MBE, the National Council of women has extended condolences to her family in the following statement: “We mourn the loss of a distinguished and exemplary woman, Ms. Anesta Rodney MBE. Sis Rodney as she was affectionately called was the Immediate Past President of the National Council of Women, a former principal, an activist, a devoted christian, a mother to many and a whole lot more.

Rodney, an outstanding community worker who was conferred with the title of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2009 for distinguished service to her country, died on February 16 at her home in Rose Hall.
