Licenses of bus drivers and private vehicle owners suspended
STEPPED UP patrols by the Traffic Branch of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVPF), have resulted in the suspension of the drivers licenses of five omnibus drivers and three private vehicle owners.
This comes in the wake of videos being circulated on social media which the police said depict some omnibus drivers engaged in dangerous and reckless driving and irresponsible behaviour.
A release from the police refers to the head of the Traffic Branch, Superintendent Kenneth John as saying that traffic officers have stepped up their patrols in an effort to curb these illicit behaviours.
Superintendent John is encouraging all drivers to be careful on the roads and to drive with due care and attention for other road users. He emphasised that
all unlawful and dangerous driving must cease with immediate effect and warned that failure to comply with the traffic regulations will result in delinquent persons being prosecuted.
And he extended thanks to law-abiding citizens for their continued co-operation and support in the quest to make the roads of St. Vincent and the Grenadines safe.
