On Friday, the Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 women bounced back from Thursday’s loss, to inflict a 46-run defeat on hosts the Windward Islands Under-19 women in Game Two at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, of the ongoing 5-match Series for the Browne-John/McIntyre Trophy.

Batting first, Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 women scored 118 for 3 in their 20 overs, with Shunelle Sawh top-scoring with 47, Djenaba Joseph made 31, Katrina Ruben chipped in with 21. Bowling for the Windward Islands Zaida James 1 for 16, and Destiny 1 for 22 with extras contributing 18.

Saint Lucian and Trinidadian families and relatives who journeyed to St Vincent to watch the games.

In reply, the Windward Islands Under-19 women scrapped to reach 72 for 9 in their 20 overs. Jannillea Glasgow top-scored with 20, Zaida James made 12, Skyy Smith 09, and extras totaled 16 in a disappointing scorecard. Bowling for Trinidad and Tobago, Djenaba Joseph took 3 for 15, KD Jazz Mitchell 2 for 09, Kiara Ruben 2 for 10, and Shalini Samaroo 1 for 15, as Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 women won by 46 runs to square the series.

The next match is today, Saturday, April 16 at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, from 2:00 p.m., while Cumberland will host the final two games on Monday and Tuesday April 18 and 19, respectively.
