Fairbain United steady in Greiggs Softball Cricket
Fairbain United added another win in the Caesar’s Real Estate/Hairoun Beer/Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T/10 Softball Cricket Tournament, last Sunday, May 29, when they beat Bank of SVG All Stars by five wickets.
All Stars posted 104/ 5 in their 10 overs. Lenroy Dalzell led with 57. Bowling for Fairbain United, Keagon Cordice bagged 3/18.
In response, Fairbain United reached 107/5, with a ball to spare. Kentish Phillips, 24 not out. Brenton Arrindell scalped 2/20 and Leroy Dalzell- 2/25.
Also chalking up victories were Kombat Warriors, Owia and Country Meet Town Out ah Trouble.
Kombat Warriors beat Dr Thomas Injectors by 53 runs. Kombat Warriors made 128/4 from their 10 overs. Anthonio Barker top scored with 69. Bowling for Injectors, Ahmed Baptiste took 2/28. Dr Thomas Injectors’ reply stopped at 75/ 3 from their 10 overs. Terrence Sutherland- 46 not out.
Meanwhile, Owia saw off Clinchers by seven wickets. Okeito Williams’ 36 was the lead score in Clinchers’ 89/5 from their 10 overs. Alison Lavia- 2/3 and Omar Lavia- 2/32, were the main wicket takers for Owia, who then responded with 91/3 from 8.2 overs. Osneth Cato, 35 not out and Rohan Lavia, 31 saw Owia over the line comfortably.
And, Out Ah Trouble defeated OTR Blazers by eight runs in a seven over affair as rain affected Sunday’s last match.
Out Ah Trouble got to 65 without loss from their allotted overs. Renrick Williams hit 31 not out and Jabari Cunningham made 20 not out.
