Greiggs T/10 cricket rolls on
Four matches were played last Sunday, June 5, as the Caesar Real Estate/ Hairoun Beer/ Nar Fren Dem/Greiggs T/10 Softball Cricket Competition continued at the Greiggs Central Playing Field.
Earning wins were Bank of SVG All Stars, Clinchers, OTR Blazers and Israel Bruce Smashers Inc.
In a game reduced to eight overs because of rain, All Stars beat Sugar Boys by seven wickets. Sugar Boys, 33/ 3 from their 8 overs. Newborne Joseph took 2/5. Bank of SVG All Stars in reply got to 34/3 in 5 overs, Newborne Joseph, 20 while Junior King took 2/4.
Clinchers then eked out a one wicket win over Caesar Real Estate Nar Fren Dem.
From 9.4 overs, Nar Fren Dem was dismissed for 62. Ozande Baptiste hit 26. Keyno Browne took 4/16 and Roneke James 3/11. In response, Clinchers, 63/9 in 9.2 overs. Ozande Baptiste took 2/14.
Meanwhile, OTR Blazers registered a three wicket win over the RSVG Police.
RSVG Police reached 61/ 6 from their 10 overs, with Salvan Browne making 20. Dillon Douglas took 3/8 and Erwin Williams took 2/1. In reply, OTR Blazers, 65/ 7 from seven overs. Dillon Douglas, 27. Malcovin Jack took 2/10, Andrew Thomas 2/14 and Okeiph Andrews 2/20.
And, Israel Bruce Smashers Inc. won on a faster scoring rate over Dr Thomas Injectors, in another rain affected fixture.
Smashers scored 161/3 from 10 overs. Glendon James led with 93 and Keno Matthews, 44.
Injectors were 73/5 from 8.4 overs, when rain ended the match. Javon Nero hit 20, while Anthony John had taken 2/10, bowling for Smashers.
