Bequia XI upend Radcliffe in National T/ 20 Cricket
Keegan’s Bequia XI upstaged Flow Radcliffe to reach the semi- finals of the Neil Williams T/20 Cricket competition, with a four wicket win last Sunday, at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
Romano Pierre, 42, Tijourn Pope, 25 and Othneil Lewis, 21, pushed Radcliffe to 135 all out from 17.5 overs.
Chelson Stowe was the pick of the Bequia XI’s bowlers, bagging 5/12, and Jenry Ollivierre had 2/26.
Stowe then hit 39 not out, Jenry Ollivierre, 30 and Joseph Francois, 22, as Bequia XI replied with 136/6 from 17 overs. Othniel Lewis took 3/22.
Joining Bequia XI in the last four were defending champions, Guardian General Saints.
Saints registered a 23 run win over Police One also at the Sion Hill venue.
Jeremy Haywood top scored with 45, as Saints posted 128/7 from their 20 overs.
Gerald Gould, 2/10, Parnell Browne, 2/17 and Vertil Davis, 2/22.
Police One replied with 105/9 from their 20 overs; Ray Charles,3/24, Jeremy Haywood, 2/13 and Geron Wyllie, 2/24.
And, at Arnos Vale Two, Smashers outplayed Victors Two by 66 runs in the last preliminary match.
Rawdon Bentick smashed 11 fours and 4 sixes in his 75, while Kesworth Lewis struck 7 fours and 2 sixes in his 51, to lead Smashers to 198/6 from 17 overs. Dave Duncan had 3/33 and Travis Cumberbatch, 2/50.

Bowling for Smashers, Anthony Charles scalped 3/36 and Kurtlan Thomas took 2/20.
