All Stars and Out Ah Trouble play in Greiggs T/10 final
Bank of SVG All Stars and Country Meet Town Out Ah Trouble Family will clash this Sunday at the Greiggs Central Playing Field in the Caesar’s Real Estate/ Hairoun Beer/ Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T/10 Softball Cricket Competition.
The two earned the right to do so, following semi-final wins last Sunday, July 17.
All Stars had a 23-run win over Israel Bruce Smashers.
All Stars batted first and accumulated 83/3 from their 10 overs; Lenroy Dalzell – 49 not out.
Bowling for Smashers, Cody Jarvis picked off 3/15.
In reply, Smashers fell short, hemmed in at 60/6 from their allotment of overs.
Keno Matthews was the lead batter for Smashers, posting 27. Dalzell followed up his batting heroics with 2/14 and Rasheed Fredericks had 2/15.
But it was a more commanding 62 run triumph for Out Ah Trouble over RSVG Police.
Led by Renrick Williams 51, Out Ah Trouble got to 105/4 from their 10 overs. The most successful bowler for the lawmen was Osrick James who scalped 2/15.
RSVG Police was then dismissed for 43 in 9.4 overs, as Davian Barnum took 3/5 and Travis Cumberbatch captured 3/7.
Sunday’s final bowls off at 4 pm. Two hours earlier, Smashers and RSVG Police will battle for the third place.
