Inter-Ministerial Games 2022 in full swing
THE 2022 EDITION of the Inter-Ministerial Games opened last Tuesday, with the Street 20 Cricket Competition at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex. In the first match up, the Ministry of Finance went under by 2 runs, to the Ministry of Transport. Finance batted first and scored 42 runs, and Transport responded with a score of 44.
The Department of Culture were also in winner’s row in the second match on day one.They got the better of Legal Affairs, also by a 2-run margin. Culture scored 39, while Legal Affairs scored 37.
Day two’s first game saw the Department of Culture who scored 54, going under by 2 runs to the Ministry of Transportation (56), while the Customs Department just edged out the Ministry of Education by one run, scoring 38, to Education’s 37.
Then on Thursday,The Office of the DPP had the better of the Ministry of Transport. Transport scored 52 and DPP responded with 58.
The second game resulted in a resounding win for the Ministry of Finance. Ministry of Finance scored 84 batting first, then bowled out the Department of Culture for 60.
The competition will continue today at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.
